Reservations & Check-in
  • Is a reservation required?

We recommend making a reservation, especially during the high season (July and August), as Camp Zalaze is a small campsite with a limited number of pitches.

  • How can I make a reservation?

You can book your stay using the reservation form on our website or by contacting us via phone or email.

 

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

On weekdays, check-in is preferred after 4:00 PM, as we may be unavailable earlier due to work commitments. If you wish to arrive earlier, please contact us in advance—we will gladly accommodate your request whenever possible.

There is no fixed check-out time. We are happy to arrange a departure time that suits your needs, depending on campsite availability.

 

The Campsite
  • Is Camp Zalaze suitable for a peaceful holiday?

Yes. Camp Zalaze is a small family-run campsite on an organic farm, ideal for guests looking for peace, nature, and a relaxing atmosphere.

  • Do you accept motorhomes and caravans?

Yes. Our campsite is suitable for smaller motorhomes, camper vans and tents.

 

  • Are electrical hook-ups available?

Yes. Electrical hook-ups are available for an additional fee.

 

  • Are pets allowed?

Yes. Well-behaved pets are welcome.

 

  • Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite.

 

  • Are sanitary facilities available?

Yes. Guests have access to clean sanitary facilities with toilets and hot showers.

 

  • Is there a cooking area?

Yes. Guests can use our shared wooden cabin, which includes tables for dining and socialising, as well as a stainless steel worktop suitable for portable gas stoves and other personal cooking equipment.

 

  • Is there a chemical toilet and grey water disposal point?

Yes. Guests travelling by motorhome can use our designated disposal area for chemical toilets and grey water.

 

  • Is a washing machine available?

No. A washing machine is currently not available at the campsite.

 

  • Is the campsite suitable during hot summer days?

Yes. Although most pitches are not shaded throughout the day, the hill behind the campsite blocks the evening sun at around 6:00 PM, making the evenings pleasantly cool and ideal for relaxing outdoors.

 

The Farm
  • What animals can we see on the farm?

Our organic farm is home to Icelandic horses and donkeys, which guests are welcome to meet.

 

  • Is the campsite suitable for children?

Yes. Children can enjoy nature, a small playground, and meeting our friendly farm animals.

  • How far is Camp Zalaze from Tolmin?

Tolmin is approximately 35 km away, about 30 minutes by car.

 

  • How far is the Soča River?

The nearest access to the Soča River is approximately 25 km away, about 30 minutes by car.

 

  • How far is Camp Zalaze from Bled?

Lake Bled is approximately 75 km away, about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.

 

  • How far is Idrija?

Idrija is approximately 25 km away, about 30 minutes by car.

 

  • How far are the Tolmin Gorges?

The Tolmin Gorges are approximately 35 km away, about 35 minutes by car.

  • What can I visit nearby?

Nearby attractions include Cerkno Ski Resort, the Tolmin Gorges, Idrija (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Soča River, as well as numerous hiking and cycling trails and many other natural and cultural attractions.

 

  • Is the campsite suitable for hikers and cyclists?

Yes. Camp Zalaze is an excellent base for exploring the Cerkno, Soča Valley, and Idrija-Cerkno Hills regions.
